ABOUT

Hi Friends!
I am Maria Leyesa, a first generation Filipino-American and 
I originally created my social media account, Foodologie,
in 2014 as an outlet to express and share
my genuine love and passion for food.
I have nearly 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry,
where I gained valuable experience and insight in regards to the
importance of high quality food and customer service.

For a period of time, Foodologie was put aside as I began to focus
on my full-time career as an Occupational Therapist.
However, in March 2020 at the start of the
pandemic and quarantine, I found myself
with extra time at home, resulting in me finally
pursuing a lifelong desire of learning how to bake.
Initially, I poked fun at my trial-and-error recipes
taking to my instagram page all of my less than
desirable creations.
Although, it was not too long until I found
 myself perfecting several recipes, which in turn led
to people inquiring about placing orders.

To my surprise, in just a short period of time Foodologie
has grown into a thriving small business. With my recent success,
  I wanted to use my newfound talent and passion for good,
thus I created
Baked Goods For The Greater Good,
where I donate baked goods or proceeds from
sales to both local and worldwide organizations.

I have so far shaped Foodologie to be a business that
not only focuses on creating high quality, small batch, aesthetically
 pleasing treats, but I also strive to provide an all around
memorable experience for you, your tastebuds, and your loved
ones all while adding some good into the world.
